GLFS news
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Women’s Grand Lodge of Switzerland. Established in 1976, it currently has 17 Lodges in Switzerland, two partner Lodges in Bulgaria, and has founded two Obedience’s: The Traditional Grand Lodge of Women “Pontus Euxinus”, and the Women’s Grand Lodge of Greece. In close connection with the various male and mixed Obedience’s of Switzerland, it is part of international female obedience networks such as CLIMAF (International Center of Female freemasonry: 13 Obedience’s including one trainee and approximately 20.000 Sisters) and FAMAF-Federación Americana de Masonería Femenina (American Federation of Female Freemasonry) which enables close relationship with all the sisters in Europe, Africa and America.
Collaboration agreement
The GLFS and the SGLA signed a partnership agreement in March 2026. This convention aims to develop a synergy between the two obediences in a concrete way, by developing common projects, meetings, conferences, training, charitable actions. Collaborations that already existed will continue, such as joint publications and a contribution for the GLFS to the journal of the SGLA, the Alpina magazine, in which Sisters have already contributed for several years.
It should be noted that the novelty lies in the establishment of a Joint Coordination Committee which will meet regularly to decide on common activities.
